Short Descriptions
This 5 days trek will take you to an unexplored Himalayan forest
in Neora Valley National
Park, Kalimpong. The entire trek goes through the uninhabited
virgin tracks of sub-tropical alpine forest. The trek reaches
at an elevation of 10,330ft at Rechela Pass at the Tri-junction
of West Bengal, Sikkim and Bhutan and offers panoramic snow
views of the Himalayan ranges. The Neora valley presents a rare
verity of wildlife, ranging from the Himalayan Black Bear, Red
Panda and even tigers.
 Day
01: Pick up from Kalimpong
or Bagdogra and drive to Lava, a small village at the base of
the Neora Valley National Park. Free day at Lava to explore
the natural beauty. Overnight at Hotel at Lava.
Day 02: We enter the park after a 25km jeep
journey through deep forests to road ending point called zero
point. Trek starts from here and through deep bamboo and pine
forest we reach at Camp Neora. Overnight at Camp.
Day 03: Trek 03 hrs to Rache-la, 3152 m, and
on to Lake camp, 2000 m in 3 hrs.
Day 04: Trek through Rambang khola valley,
cross Goltar Forest Ridge, overnight at jungle camp.
Day 5: Trek to road head in 02 hrs and drive
to Kalimpong in 2.30 hrs.
