This trek covers all the important monasteries in West and South
Sikkim.
 Day
1: Reception at Bagdogra and Transfer to Pelling, 140kms
from Bagdogra/Siliguri. Check in at Hotel. Free evening and
overnight at Pelling.
Day 2: Trek starts from Pelling.
Trek to Sangacholing Monastery 3 kms from your hotel. Situated
high above a wooded hill, this monastery was built in 1697 and
considered to be one of the oldest Monasteries in Sikkim. The
40 min trek passes through steep hilly slopes covered with thick
forest covers. Back to hotel for lunch and trek to Pemayangtse
Monastery (30 min). Situated at an altitude of 6840 ft it was
established by Lhatsun Chempo, a reverend Lama. This ancient
monastery belongs to Nyingmapa sect of Tibetan Bhuddism. Return
to Hotel in the afternoon. Overnight at Pelling.
 Day
3: Trek starts in the morning to Khecheopalri (24kms)
through the forested hills. The rustling streams colourful orchids
and birds will adorn your way. Khecheopalri is a sacred hidden
lake encircled by rich forest covered hills. Visit to monastery.
Overnight at trekkers’ hut at Khecheopalri.
Day 4: Trek to Yuksom (16kms),
the first Capital of Sikkim and a land of myths and legends.
Visit Norbugang Throne, a testimony of a historical event when
three learned Lamas from three different corers incarnated here
the first Chogyal King of Sikkim in 1641. Overnight at Hotel.
 Day
5: Trek to Dubdi Monastery (3kms). Built in 1701 Dubdi
is the oldest monastery in Sikkim. The trek winds through high
natural forests and commands an excellent view of Yuksom. Back
to Yuksom. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 6: Trek to Tashiding
(16kms). Built in 1717 the Monastery holds several myths of
Sikkim Buddhism. Tashiding is also famous for the most holy
chortens and presents a glorious view of Kunchenjunga. Overnight
at trekkers’ hut.
Day 7: Drive to Gangtok.
Check in at Hotel. Free evening at Gangtok. Tour ends.
