The forest department accommodations are the
best places to stay in the forests of the region. There are
a large number of forest bungalows many of which are now available
for tourists. We provide booking to this accommodation as part
of joungle tour packages. If you book only the forest bungalows
with taking any other service, naturebeyond would charge additional
10% service charge on the net amount payable.
The
forest accommodations are available in the following places
Borodabri
(Malangi Lodge) - is a forest bungalow near Jaldapara. Holong Tourist Lodge
- Inside Jaladapara Wild Life Sanctuary, this is arguably the
best accommodation in the area. Jaldhaka Nature Resort
- Located in Jhalong on the banks of the Jaldhaka resort. Lava Nature Education Resort
- The best accommodation in Lava is available for tourists throughout
the year. Lepchajagat Wilderness
Resort - is a secluded bungalow near Darjeeling. The bungalow
rooms provide excellent views of the mountain ranges and Darjeeling
town. Loelygaon
Resort - Close to Lava, this is another upcoming tourist
destination of the area. The forest accommodation here is one
of its first in the region. Mongpong Resort -
Mongpong is a forest fringe village near Siliguri on the way
to Dooars. The forest accommodation is the only one available
to tourists here. Murti Resort - This resort
is situated close to river Murti near Gorumara National Park.
This is an ideal place from where you can visit the National
Park. Rasikbill Resort
- is situated close to Alipurduar. There is a large lake (bill)
nearby. Boating and birding are major attractions here. Rongpo Forest Bungalow
- is situated near Bengal-Sikkim border. Samsing Wilderness Resort
- The resort is located about 15 km from Chalsa at the foothills
of Himalaya near Neora Valley National Park. Suntaleykhola Resort
- About 4 km away from Samsing, this is a secluded resort consisting
of a bungalow and several cottages.
